This unique course will take an intercompany Arbitration Award and examine the claim file and hearing process in reverse. Starting with the ruling of the Arbitrator; we look at the Award; examine their Decision justification rationale highlighting those key comments as they relate to the Evidence and narratives parties put forward. This progresses to an evaluation of the proofs provided by both sides and how their individual Contentions influenced the outcome. One party will have prevailed; while the other fell short… what impacted the result the most? Fundamentals of Arbitrator decision-making will be presented with an overview of the rationale inherent to case evaluation. Finally, a primer for best practices regarding Post-Decision inquiries and effective procedures for collection of unpaid Award will be presented. This one-of-a-kind training provides a distinct look into intercompany Arbitration delivering perspective and insight into case preparation that the attendee can use immediately.
