Join us for a skill development session that focuses exclusively on the aspect of Contentions preparation for an intercompany arbitration case. The advocates ability to present a cogent narrative before the Arbitrator leads to the opportunity to prevail and secure subrogation recovery. This course will go beyond the basics and look at effective openings; logical and easy-to-follow transitioning to liability and damages argument complimented by the incorporation of Evidence and formulation of a persuasive closing. Assessment of evidentiary items will be a key component of this course knowing that evaluation of proofs sets the stage for the organization and construction of Contentions. Fundamental arbitration advocacy concepts such as Theory and Theme; appreciation of Script Theory and how best to merge proofs at the optimal time into the narrative will be examined. This engaging session brings together tips, techniques and advocacy skill sets from over 35 years in the arbitration industry.
Meet the presenter, Kevin Pike, an accomplished presenter and advocate for intercompany Arbitration. Kevin has over 35 years experience with this subrogation claims process. He has spoken at 12 NASP Conferences, annually presents NASP webinars, and creates courses on intercompany Arbitration delivered to carriers throughout the country. He also writes a weekly Arbitration Blog.
