This webinar is Part 1 of a 4-part series. The first part of this presentation will cover recent cases and statutory developments from the last two months of 2025 through January of 2026 relevant to workers' compensation subrogation. The “focus topic” of this roundtable discussion will be intervention on behalf of the workers’ compensation carrier in the third-party action. In this discussion, we will cover both legal, economic and strategic factors that should be considered by a subrogation professional when deciding whether to intervene in a third-party action.
Meet the presenters, Patrick Timoney and Ryan Nawrocki.

Patrick Timoney focuses his practice on large loss workers compensation subrogation and product liability matters. He has more than 30 years of experience litigating matters throughout the United States. Mr. Timoney is retained by insurance carriers and other attorneys to investigate and pursue large loss claims involving products that have caused serious personal injuries. In the past ten years, Mr. Timoney has secured more than $35 million in net recoveries for insurance companies and reinsurers.

Ryan Nawrocki concentrates his practice in the areas on insurance coverage, products liability, workers' compensation subrogation, and insurance defense. Prior to practicing law, Ryan worked for a State Farm Insurance Agency in Philadelphia where he attained a Property and Casualty Producer License. He later gained valuable experience in the commercial insurance industry at Conner Strong & Buckelew in Camden, New Jersey. Ryan leverages his insurance background to serve carriers in investigating, pursuing, and defending serious personal injury claims.
