This webinar will cover the basics of the rules and responsibilities of banks and their customers in cases of check fraud and discuss how this may impact an insurer's subrogation potential for these types of claims. This presentation will cover various types of check fraud to be wary of in the modern age as well as how these fraud types interplay with the Bank's responsibility to detect fraud, and discuss when this burden shifts to the account holder. The webinar is meant to be an overview of the laws governing these types of cases generally across the country under the Uniform Commercial Codes (UCC) and include specific examples of individual state laws and how they may differ from the UCC.
