When:  Oct 12, 2021 from 13:00 to 14:00 (ET)
The Michigan No-Fault Act provides insurance companies with a unique and expansive arena for subrogation recovery.  The presenter will navigate subrogation specialists through the complex world of the Michigan No-Fault Act throughout this presentation. We will also delve into the priority statutes in Michigan, including one which permits the subrogation specialist to recover from other insurance companies, one that attaches liability to the owner of an uninsured vehicle regardless of fault in the motor vehicle accident, and one that covers the availability of recovery against the health provider. In addition, there will be a discussion of the 2019 No-Fault Insurance Reform Laws.

Tiffani Williams provides a unique perspective on the challenges that insurers face regarding their subrogation actions. Tiffani practices exclusively in insurance subrogation, with more than ten years of experience in the application of the Michigan No-Fault Act, including three years as a claims adjuster for a major nationwide insurance company.  While obtaining her master’s degree at Western Michigan University, Tiffani worked with several companies as a consultant applying principles to organizations with a goal on improving individual and group performance.  In addition to her professional writing, Tiffani is a passionate poet.
