The Certified Subrogation Recovery Professional (CSRP)® designation is the professional designation for subrogation professionals. Academic Requirements
All candidates must pass a comprehensive examination on a variety of subrogation related topics that are covered in the course text, Subrogation Recovery: Principles and Practices. The course text is a compilation of knowledge of many subrogation professionals who have worked long and hard to create the most complete text on subrogation available. The exam covers 14 topics, including:

About the Exam
In an effort to continue to enhance NASP's Certified Subrogation Recovery Professional (CSRP)® program, we are pleased to announce that in addition to offering regional testing sites, the CSRP exam will also be given at the Subrogation Litigation: Skills and Management Conference as well as at the Annual Conferences. You can now choose from these dates to take your exam!
The CSRP exam is a multiple-choice examination consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions. Those accepted into the program must register for the exam using the Exam Enrollment Form (See Downloads Page). Exam sites are located throughout the country.
To pass the exam, candidates must receive a score of at least 70%. If a candidate takes the exam and does not pass, the exam may be retaken provided an exam retake fee of $175 is paid (See Downloads Page). All exams will be graded on a pass/fail basis and no exams will be returned to any candidates. Exam pass/fail notices will be mailed to candidates within three weeks of taking the exam.

Matriculation and Experience Requirements
All CSRP candidates must matriculate into the program. To be accepted into the program a candidate must verify that he/she has five years of experience working for an insurance company or, in the case of subrogation service providers, serving the needs of insurance companies. Of the five years experience, three years must be devoted primarily to subrogation related work.
In addition, all candidates must agree to be bound by the Code of Professional Ethics of Certified Subrogation Professionals. The seven canons of the Code appear on the CSRP matriculation form.
Upon successful matriculation candidates will receive their copy of the course text and study guide, Subrogation Recovery: Principles & Practices.

CE & CLE Credit

Please note the CSRP program is a self-study program and the hours approved are based on each state's rules for self-study programs.

Fees
The matriculation fee of $550 (members) and $750 (non members) covers the cost of the course text and course study guide, exam administration in the NASP regions and grading fee, and for those passing the exam, conferment of the CSRP designation. The fee also includes one exam retake if examinee does not pass the first time.
NASP charges a cancellation fee of $50 for any examinee who cancels his/her exam or who fails to show for his/her scheduled exam appointment, plus the amount NASP pre-paid the University to proctor the exam.
Designation Conferment
Designations are conferred at NASP's Annual Conference held every year in November. Conferees are not required to attend the conference to receive conferment of the designation.
