WELCOME TO NASP
In 1998, when NASP was first founded, there was concern about the lack of educational opportunities for subrogation professionals. As we look at NASP today, the old saying, "You've come a long way baby" certainly applies to our organization! Today at NASP, our number one priority continues to center around providing educational opportunities for subrogation professionals, whether they are insurance claims professionals, attorneys or service providers, NASP endeavors to expand these opportunities to better serve our members. While too numerous to mention, let's look at several examples of what I like to call, Subrogation Education - NASP Style! Our Annual Conference offers subrogation-specific educational sessions and is the premier subrogation learning event in the United States. In March of 2007, NASP took the lead again by offering the first Annual Subrogation Litigation: Skills and Management Conference specifically geared to the needs of subrogation lawyers and claim professionals involved in managing litigation. NASP's Subro College(R), which is a basic program designed to better acquaint attendees with subrogation, has been enthusiastically accepted; so much so that we are now prepared to launch our 200 level Subro College(R), which is a more advanced program. Local Chapter meetings continue to provide important and timely information to our chapter members around the country. Of course, our Certified Subrogation Recovery Professional Designation, CSRP, is the only subrogation self-study course in existence today. NASP constantly remains hard at work in continuing to serve our members' needs. If you are interested in what NASP might offer you, please take a moment to browse our website and sample some of the many benefits NASP provides to its members. Look at the opportunities available under Benchmarking, New and Upcoming Events and Sponsorship; just to name a few. I think you will agree, NASP continues to offer its members the most comprehensive and up-to-date subrogation education opportunities available anywhere. Thanks for checking us out! If you are a current member, continue to be involved. If you want to be involved, join NASP - we want you to be a part of our organization! Sincerely, John T. Foster
